welcome to our little corner of the world.

founded in 2021, kismet has become more than a coffee shop and florist. out little shop on the corner has become a place of community - we’ve watched friendships forming on our couch upstairs, folks connecting at just the perfect time, first dates and weddings in the flower shop.

we founded kismet looking to connect people with the simple things that make life beautiful… a coffee on your way to work served by someone who’s genuinely happy to greet you, or a single stem selected from our flower bar to say, “I love you”, or “I care”.

the word kismet means fate, or destiny. we’re proud to be a Turkish and woman owned, family ran small business. our shop is an extension of ourselves, and our team, and we’re so grateful to welcome you in and serve you.

with love and light,

Maya and Jeremiah

floristry program

our floristry program is inspired by the garden and honoring the way flowers and foliage naturally present themselves in nature. our small, tight knit team of florists work to honor you, your loved ones, and your occasions large and small through custom flower arrangements and bouquets.

we offer complimentary shop pickup, and delivery to the Cedar Rapids and Marion areas six days a week. in the cafe, we have a flower bar intended to inspire your own creativity. guests are welcome to interact with the flowers while building their own bouquet or selecting a single stem. we believe flowers should be accessible to all people - no matter the budget or occasion. we aim to have options at any price range. whether it’s your first time ordering flowers or your hundredth, we’re excited to help you realize your floral dreams. order fresh florals here.

coffee program

our coffee program is run and designed by owner, Jeremiah, and built on intentionality. we’re proud to serve coffee roasted by Prodigal (Boulder, CO), and Proud Mary (Portland, OR) and teas supplied by Spirit Tea (Chicago, IL). our menu aims to feature an easy to approach introduction to the coffee world, or a warm welcome to familiar favorites.

all syrups are made in-house from the best quality, simple ingredients, sourcing locally whenever possible. our dairy is purchased from Hansen’s Dairy Farm (Hudson, IA), honey from Ebert Honey (IA), and pastry from The Local Crumb (Cedar Rapids, IA). our seasonally rotating specials menu is perhaps the highlight of our guest base, exploring unique combinations to compliment coffees and teas crafted with care. view our coffee menu here.
